PACS

PACS is used for hospital imaging departments, initially mainly used for radiology, after the development of the past few years, PACS has expanded from a few simple radiographic image storage devices and communications to all the hospital imaging equipment as well as interoperating images in different hospitals, resulting in a number of classified terms, such as the network of several radiation devices is known as the Mini PACS; network of all imaging equipment in radiology is called Radiology PACS; and the overall hospital PACS to achieve a full-hospital sharing of resources, is known as the Hospital PACS

  • Offline measurement: user-defined measure kit, automatic or manual automatic calibration, generates measurement parameters, saves the measurement results

  • Multi-screen showing different sequences of images of one patient or consultation based on images of different patients; the same screen can show images of patients’ different postures, or by different devices.
  • Display and management of multi-screen upholds 8 screens all once to look at DICOM images, can manage images all at the same time or separately; high resolution display, supports different sizes of different resolutions when displaying images, which avoids too small font under high-resolution on the browser.
  • Supports DICOM Storage, DICOM Query, DICOM response, list of task list (WorkList) production, which actualizes functions including transmission, receiving, forwarding, scheduling, search, query, and DICOM CD burning of DICOM files; provides SCU, SCP, and services such as Query / Retrieve.
  • Supports long-term storage and management of image data (LTSM) and short-term storage management (STSM)
  • Provides detrimental or lossless compression of the video (JPEG/MPEG/WAVELET/JPEG2000)
  • Uses database to manage images and data; upholds a variety of ways to  search (name of patient, hospital number, exam number, ID number, exam department, the examining physician, imaging equipment, etc.)
  • Has user management, dictionary management, authority management, system settings, system maintenance and many other functions
  • Establishes a reference table of the patient ID numbers and image contents and storage location in the database, electronic medical records management; background automatically calculates information of patients and worklload of doctors
  • Allows preservation of medical records, can archive information and images of the patient’s every examination.
